Reflecting on 2020 With Thankful Hearts

2020. What a year.

No doubt you, like us, have felt overwhelmed, confused, scared, and frustrated by how the last few months have played out around our country and world.

But, as crazy as it sounds, we feel the need to give thanks.

For starters, we are thankful for you. Our clients, readers, and friends within the Knoxville community have helped make this difficult season not only bearable but a time of growth. Your continued support has allowed Always Abounding to create, without interruption, in one of the most challenging financial climates our country has ever seen. We are eternally grateful.

We also want to give thanks for the work we get to do. Throughout the course of 2020, we filmed and edited everything from complex Christmas shows to powerful anti-trafficking presentations. Pouring ourselves into these (and all) projects has allowed us to disconnect from the turmoil outside and devote ourselves entirely to the work at hand. Video has sustained us. It has kept us sane. God has used video, and the daily tasks associated with it, to carry us through.

Above all, we are thankful for the hope of Christ. Even from the dark pit of anxiety 2020 flung us into, the guiding light of our Savior has remained clearly in view. The certainty that we are not alone, that Christ understands our suffering, and that this WILL pass, continues to push the darkness away as we patiently wait for the dawn.

It’s been a hard year.

We’ve all hurt.

But we are thankful, and we know brighter days are ahead for us, and you.
